We made our way home today from a long relaxing but busy vacation on Cape Cod. It was nice to get away and get a fresh start this week. We’ve had a lot of mishaps happen and we needed this week away. The Campresort was nice and had lots of stuff to do and the Cape has a ton of stuff you can do. You could be there for a month and still not do everything. So if/when we go back there are things we would like to do.
But first I’ll let you all in on our past week….
Before we got to the Cape Cod Campresort we had a little fender bender, everyone is okay, the Tahoe has a couple dents on the front bumper and the bumper was pushed back a bit on the right side. Hopefully it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg to fix!
After we got there we got settled in we just hung out and enjoyed the evening, well besides the part of Preston wanting to do EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING!!! We had, what was considered, a large site. We were on the corner and did have a LOT of space, it was nice!

The next day we spent the morning riding bikes, went to the pool and in the afternoon we went to the lake, all at the CampResort.
Preston on his bike, convincing Dad to get on his. Preston either rode his bike or scooter EVERYWHERE at the Camp Ground!

I forgot my camera when we went to the pool but don’t worry I didn’t forget it the next time :0)

S’more time!

Wednesday we went to Old Silver Beach. It was a great beach for the kids! Parking was outrageous, $20 but if we would’ve checked with the Campground office we could’ve gotten 1/2 price parking tickets, oh well, live and learn! Anyways, it was a VERY calm beach and VERY shallow for a long ways into the ocean. Everyone had a great time. We spent the whole day there.

Back at Camp with Kyla and her new best friend…..she thinks!

Preston finally has an interest in Baseball! Yes, Dad was very excited to play catch with his son!

Thursday we hopped on a trolley from Falmouth to Woods Hole and went to the Aquarium. Oh but before the aquarium I have to mention what a small world it is. After we got off the trolley and started walking up to the aquarium we crossed paths with Debbie and her family. Debbie is one of my Moms’ Group friends(they also loaned us their tile saw so we could do the floors!). So that was crazy!
Okay back to the aquarium. It was a small but something to do and it was donations only no fees, can’t beat that! :0)

Friday, the big day, the Whale Watching day!!! Yep, we took the kids whale watching. Jarod has gone before, on the West Coast. The rest of us were first timers! It was awesome!! We had a great morning, yes I said morning. We got up at 6:30 and drove about a half hour to Barnstable Harbor and the boat left at about 8:00am. Two reasons we went so early, less people and coupons! We saw a whole bunch of whales, they were feeding. We even got to see a Mom and Baby and we got to see them breaching(jumping out of the water). It was a great trip and the kids loved it!! Kyla even slept on the way back :0).

All tired out!

Saturday. We just hung out at the pool on Saturday and took it easy:
Evidence that I was actually there ;0). Kyla and I in the pool:

Kyla’s new trick, yes, that would be her leaping high into the air. She mastered this new fun thing called, jumping into the pool in a few jumps and then proceeded to do nothing but jump in…. all day!!

Preston being tossed across the pool by Dad

AND that’s all folks. That pretty much wraps up our vacation! Like I said we had a great time and are now ready to tackle all the stuff that we’ve been putting off :0).
Hope you enjoyed the pix and sorry about the long post…. it took me forever!
OH and don’t worry, videos will be coming real soon!!!!!!!!
